This event aims to foster a meaningful discussion about policy and regulatory solutions to improve protections from toxic chemicals as growing research continues to underscore the substantial health and societal costs of harmful chemical exposures. The event will feature Dr. Bruce Lanphear, an internationally recognized scientist based at Simon Fraser University and producer of the Little Things Matter, a series of visually powerful videos that portray the public health implications of weak pollution prevention policies. Dr. Lanphear will be joined by other prominent experts and advocates in environmental health, including Erica Phipps, Executive Director of the Canadian Partnership for Children’s Health and Environment, and Vito Buonsante, a chemical law expert and legal consultant with the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization.
