Fact Sheets and On-line Resources About Safe Renovation Practices

Renovation activities in older homes can create very dangerous levels of contaminants like lead, asbestos and PCBs in dust. Renovators, energy-efficiency retrofitters, and do-it-yourselfers need to be aware of the risks, and ensure they have adequate training to take necessary precautions. CPCHE strongly recommends that pregnant women not be involved in any home renovation activities. This collection includes CPCHE's safe renovation fact sheets and related on-line resources. See also our collection about Healthy Retrofits for energy efficiency.
