Materials developed in support of municipal and provincial cosmetic pesticide bans
In May of 2003, with a solid majority, Toronto City Council passed a pesticide bylaw and in so doing reinforced the efforts of those advocating for similar bylaws in municipalities across Canada. In 2009, Ontario passed legislation to ban, province-wide, the sale and use of pesticide for cosmetic purposes. This collection includes materials related to these and similar efforts across Canada.
